...the view from here

This is why I love my balcony so much. Can't beat this view. It's hard to believe in April, I would have lived in Toronto for 5 years. Half a decade. Time really does fly, when you're having fun.

These were taken when Dad and I zipped to the cottage on the plane.

5,000 kilometers with John.

Recently, John and I decided to take a road trip from Toronto to Nova Scotia. We had 10 days to go where ever we wanted. We mainly stayed with my mom in a small town called Antigonish. We got to spend a night in Cape Breton, and enjoy the outdoors. Probably would have been a little better if we went in the summer, it was incredibly cold the one night we tried to be adventurous. We live in an urban city, what can we say. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the road trip. Some were taken in Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.
Enjoy!

so random, so great.

The Unicorn looked dreamily at Alice, and said “Talk, child.”
Alice could not help her lips curling up into a smile as she began: “Do you know, I always thought Unicorns were fabulous monsters, too? I never saw one alive before!”
“Well, now that we have seen each other,” said the Unicorn, “if you’ll believe in me, I’ll believe in you."

...it's geting better all the time

To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them. It takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer. You need less imagination to be a painter because you can invent things. But in photography everything is so ordinary; it takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the extraordinary.

Sunrise, sunset.

Some sunrise/sunsetish photos. Some are taken from recent travels to Florida and Nova Scotia.
The photos of the CN Tower and Rogers Center are taken from my balcony in Toronto!

The sunrise, sunset, go home to your apartment..put the cassette in the tape deck, and let that fever play..
